What an experience!
We absolutely loved our #kiwifornia adventure – there were certainly tears and tantrums when we had to pass the camper on to the next #kiwifornia adventurers at the end of the week! As a kid we camped at Kai Iwi lakes every summer without fail, and taking our kids up this Christmas was a chance to relive those childhood memories for me and make new ones with my own kids. We found the van an absolute pleasure to drive and being able to pull the back seat right forward meant the kids were close (a good thing?!?) and left us with a HUGE space in the back for luggage (we were tasked with bringing up the Christmas dinner for the whole extended family so the space was needed!). Once we set up it was very hard to extract the kids from the camper. Whenever we were not on the beach or on the water, you could find all the kids up in the sleeping compartment – never mind the acres of space around the campsite, the kids wouldn’t leave the camper! And when half the family left, and we were “eligible” for a bedroom in the lake house, the kids were having none of it! Looking forward to our next #kiwifornia adventure 🙂
