A trip to the Bay of Islands
My two daughters and I took the California up North for a few days in July. We thought we would give the Winter-holiday a warm up with a hot camper van, named Kiwifornia. Our first night was spent in Albany with family. Needless to say how impressed they were with our wheels. The next morning we hit the road up to Bay of Islands, via Whangarei, where we stayed for two days.
Our Kiwifornia enjoyed the ferry trip over to Russel and posed for some beautiful photos on the ‘non-island’.
The California was very versatile and easy to drive on any surface and in any condition. It was both comfortable to drive and to sleep in.
It surely turned a lot of heads and the public wasn’t shy to walk up and have a closer peek.
Unfortunately, we had to cut the week short and missed the planned trip to play in the snow at Mount Ruapehu.
Just a great big thanks to Ebbett VW for this amazing experience.
