Family trip to Paihia

We started by leaving nice and early on Monday morning as the trip up to Whananaki was going to take over 5 hours. On our way up we stopped by my mum’s place to say hey and carried on our way. The weather was very poor the whole way but as we got into northland we were greeted by some SUPERB sunny skies and an AMAZING view. We stayed at a DOC camp and it was very easy to set up and get ready for our two nights here.
After a spot of fishing, walks along the beach and some good relaxation time we went over to Ahipara Holiday Park. On the way over to Ahipara, we stopped by Kaikohe to say hello to my Whanau. At Ahipara we spent some time at Shipwreck Bay and just chilled out. After that, we shot across to Paihia and spent a day there enjoying some walks/cafes and shopping. On the last night, we had a night of luxury at the Eagle’s Nest Luxury Villa’s/hotel which was an absolutely amazing way to complete a trip that, despite the sunshine, was filled with rain and cold temperatures.
